Set half way along the High Street in Fort William, in the Highlands of Scotland and in the shadow of nearby Ben Nevis, our pub and restaurant provide a warm and friendly atmosphere where you will find a range of cask conditioned real ales and a good place to eat.
The Alehouse has a traditional pub atmosphere and specialist in serving a wide range of cask conditioned ales from Scotland's many breweries. The Grog & Gruel has been CAMRA Good Beer Guide listed ever since the doors opened in 1994. There's also a good selection of malt whisky to be found on the pub's well stocked shelves, with around 100 available at any one time.
The Grog & Gruel is a good place to eat in Fort William. We're 'a little different' from your average pub & restaurant and so is our food. You can choose to eat from our imaginative Alehouse or Restaurant menus.
