Conveniently located half way along Fort William's pedestrianised High Street, The Grog & Gruel is a Traditional Alehouse and Restaurant in Fort William with a warm and friendly atmosphere and a character all of its own.

Set half way along the High Street in Fort William, in the Highlands of Scotland and in the shadow of nearby Ben Nevis, our pub and restaurant provide a warm and friendly atmosphere where you will find a range of cask conditioned real ales and a good place to eat.

The Alehouse has a traditional pub atmosphere and specialist in serving a wide range of cask conditioned ales from Scotland's many breweries. The Grog & Gruel has been CAMRA Good Beer Guide listed ever since the doors opened in 1994. There's also a good selection of malt whisky to be found on the pub's well stocked shelves, with around 100 available at any one time.

The Grog & Gruel is a good place to eat in Fort William. We're 'a little different' from your average pub & restaurant and so is our food. You can choose to eat from our imaginative Alehouse or Restaurant menus. Light meals and bar snack are available throughout the day and evening in the pub whilst our ever-popular Restaurant provides a huge choice of meals every evening.
